Abstract :
This paper describes theoretical MIMO performances in tunnels, in terms of ergodic capacity. Frequencies of 2 GHz and 5 GHz are considered. The spread of the direction of arrival of the rays and the correlation distance are calculated versus the distance between the transmitter and the receiver. Then, for MIMO systems, the influence of the number of array elements but by keeping constant the total length of the array, is studied.
