Abstract
A novel channel coding scheme is proposed for the multicarrier modulation system. With the parity-concatenated trellis coded modulation, the significant performance improvement (over 2 dB net gain) can be achieved in a multi-carrier system using the iterative Viterbi decoding algorithm. Due to its low complexity and compatibility with the standard Viterbi algorithm, this channel coding scheme may have the potential for practical applications, e.g., ADSL
