Abstract
A model is introduced in this paper and the effects is of nonlinear scattering on the amplifier gain are considered as well as other phenomena. The model can predict the gain value and the gain spectrum of amplifier. Various gain flattening methods are studied by numerical simulation of this model. The results of the simulation of the various configurations for gain flattening the EDFAs and approximate bandwidth of these methods will be detailed.
