Abstract :
The paper describes the features of developing the readiness of technical university teachers to innovative educational activities during the professional development course, reveals the essence of the concept of “research competence”, dwells on the ways of improving the study course “Pedagogical Innovations”, draws on some examples of innovative educational technologies mastered by teachers and contributing to the development of students´ research skills.
