Abstract
Summary form only given. The conductivity anisotropy in stretch oriented poly[3-(4-octylphenyl)-2,2´-bidliophene] is studied under various doping levels. A small (100/spl mu/m contact spacing) square four point probe is used to measure the two conductivity components simultaneously. The polymer is stretch oriented to various elongations and doped with I/sub 2/ vapour. The conductivity anisotropy is dependent on the degree of orientation and the absolute conductivity (doping level). For a given elongation the conductivity anisotropy decreases during the spontaneous dedoping. The obtained results are discussed in the context of structural changes upon doping.
