Abstract :
Summary form only given. We propose a new model for the metal-insulator phase transition from insulating charged soliton lattice to a novel metallic state. The phase transition is second order and driven by the formation of a new type of charge carrier involving polaron-soloton hybrid. This model may explain many aspects of the experimental results including infrared, transport, and magnetic properties.
