Abstract :
A more comprehensive Markov chain is proposed in this paper of Carrier Sense Multiple Access/Collision Avoidance (CSMA/CA) in a practical narrowband power line communication (NPLC) unsaturated environment. The non-fixed transmission period is considered in this model which is determined by the dynamic resource management (DRM) algorithm employed in physical layer to resist the interference of NPLC channel condition. Retransmission process is also included in our numeric analysis while other literatures have rarely discussed. Although the variational channel condition expends some accuracy of the numerical result, the consistent trend of convergence with the simulation result has validated the chain model. The model is a useful tool for the improvement of NPLC system.
