Abstract
In many learning scenarios different types of video content are used. Each of them is characterized by such factors as technical means and intended educational outcomes. This paper presents a classification for educational video content delivery. Technical and educational challenges of video delivery are discussed. Video for remote laboratories is given a specific emphasis. It is shown that real-time streaming video is of particular importance and difficulty. Current video formats and codecs compatible with modern web-browsers are listed.
