Abstract
Summary form only given. Spectroelectrochemical and EPR techniques combined with cyclic voltammetry were applied to investigations of polyaniline synthesized electrochemically in acid solutions. Electroactivity and spectra of polymer films were measured in solutions containing tungstosilicic acid (supporting electrolyte with anions too large to dope the polymer) and various amounts of HCl, HCl0/sub 4/ or H/sub 2/SO/sub 4/. The concentration of small anions capable of doping the polymer was gradually increased. The nature of ionic species and their concentration significantly affect electrochemical and spectroelectrochemical properties of polyaniline.
