  • Abstract
Summary form only given. The ability to track quality dual-frequency P-code (code and phase) observables has been responsible for many exciting developments in global positioning system (GPS) geodesy and precision navigation. However, civilian users were confronted with the fact that P-code quality tracking will essentially disappear when the government enacts full time anti-spoofing (AS). A proprietary technique called P/W tracking that produces pure high-quality code and full-wavelength carrier phase measurements in the presence of AS is described. The P/W tracking technique is discussed and its performance is compared with other available, but inherently inferior, AS countermeasures. Results of the P/W tracking technique from data collected during periods where AS was on (and off) are presented to characterize receiver performance and prove its applicability in supporting P-code quality civilian tracking applications. Precise differential navigation software for providing subdecimeter positioning is also described
