Abstract :
This paper is intended to apply the spatial impulse response method to simulate the acoustic field of a line phased array transducer. The focus laws of ultrasonic linear phased array and the expressions of the acoustic field are obtained utilizing the impulse response of rectangular transducer. Simulations are carried out for a linear phased array transducer in different focusing angles. It is shown that this method can efficiently and accurately predict the radiation field of linear phased array transducer over a wide range of steering angles.
