  • Abstract
Adaptive model-based polarimetric SAR decomposition has attracted significant attention to estimate the vegetation parameters of various vegetated terrains. However, an increased flexibility of parameter selection potentially causes unexpected misinterpretation. Using reasonable constraints, we should validate the decomposition results thoroughly based on solid physical interpretation. In this paper, we apply most general adaptive model-based decomposition technique to real SAR data by varying various vegetation parameters. Then validation will be conducted based on physical scattering theory.
