Abstract
- The measurement with air gauges is simple, accurate and cheap. Nowadays, new pneumatic devices equipped with piezoresistive pressure sensors are highly sensitive to the changes of pressure in the measuring chamber. Flow-through phenomena cause the fluctuations of the measuring pressure and influent the indication of the length measurement. If not recognized and not dealt with properly, those fluctuations may affect the results of measurement, and especially the very adjustment of air gauge. In the paper, some investigations results are presented and discussed, and some recommendations are given.
