Abstract :
An automated instrumentation configuration based on a small microcontroller is presented in this work. This experimental setup is designed for data collection from multiple measurement approaches regarding the efficient use of special MOSFET transistors as radiation sensors (dosimeters). The proposed configuration takes advantage of a low bias technique, allowing stacking a higher number of MOS dosimeters than in the conventional configurations, in order to increase sensitivity and accuracy. The present system is a special customized instrument to be used as a measurement tool for the performance evaluation of MOSFET sensors under different radiation conditions and different sensor structure situations. This configuration may be used for medical applications. A description of the measuring principle and of the instrument structure is included
