Abstract :
Energy efficient electric drives gain more importance in the industry allowing a reduction of the energy consumption. Producing efficient electric drives requires the optimization of all associated processes, especially the manufacturing process. This paper comprises the state of the art balancing techniques and introduces the relevant product parameters. In addition, the potential for an intelligent pairing of rotor components for a stackable rotor to minimize the initial unbalance will be introduced.
