Abstract
We demonstrate an explicit numerical method for accurate solving the eigenvalue problem for systems of coupled ordinary differential equations such as those describing hole bound states in quantum wells with a polynomial potential profile. Hole bound states energies and corresponding wave functions are calculated in the case of a finite parabolic quantum well.
