Abstract
By the analysis of Odd symmetry error Function blind equalization Algorithm (OFA), a New Variable Momentum Factor blind equalization Algorithm (NVMFA) is proposed. The proposed algorithm uses error function with characteristics of odd symmetry to reduce mean square error, in order to further improve the performance of the algorithm using variable factors to control the momentum term and to adjust weight of equalizer. Simulation tests with underwater acoustic channel indicate that the proposed algorithm has not only faster convergence rate but also less mean square error.
