Abstract :
A signal stage AC/DC converter with resonant model PFC has been investigated in this paper. The main contributions are as the followings: (1) a new circuit configuration has been proposed, which is built up by adding four extra components in a conventional double switches-forward converter. The extra components operate in resonant model to improve the power factor of the AC input current; (2) The principle of the new circuit has been explored and its behaviors have been studied; (3) The experiment results show that the new circuit has good performances, such as high power, lower DC bus voltage, high power factor and so on.
