Abstract :
Pole placement control has been well established in theory. However, its practical value is yet to be appreciated in most industries. This paper presents an account in which the control strategy is run on an electro-hydraulic servomotor. The processes of designing the regulator and the estimator are shown. The responses of the hydraulic motor show good controllability of the strategy over the system´s damping. However, when tested with pole position which is beyond the system´s dynamic capability, error began to occur and the output of the hydraulic motor began to be unacceptable
