Abstract
A set of software image processing tools is being developed to assist in stereotaxic implantation and biopsy procedures. They allow merging of computerized tomography, magnetic resonance imaging, and anatomic atlas images into a single database; reformatting of the merged image into arbitrary planes; and interactive display of these reformatted images in the operating room environment. The hardware, software and present research are briefly discussed
