Abstract :
A new battery charger/discharger for uninterruptible power supply (UPS) is proposed. The proposed converter offers substantial improvements in efficiency, size and cost compared with UPS schemes with multiple stages. The proposed UPS approach is a good solution for low power applications (≤ 500 W). The operation of the converter is addressed. The analysis, simulation and experimental results are presented.
