Abstract :
In This paper effect of various factors on performance of solar photovoltaic module is studied. The important factors which affect solar output are temperature and irradiance. In addition other factors such as number of cells, types of material used for designing solar PV are also considered. The performance of solar PV can be evaluated based on its P-V, I-V and P-I characteristics. Hence changes in these characteristics are observed for changes in above factors. Solar PV is modeled in MATLAB using its single diode mathematical representation.
