Abstract
This paper presents the design of a 1GHz~4GHz ultra-wide band (UWB) low noise amplifier (LNA) using the Avago Technologies´ ATF-54143. The matching network uses lossy matching made up of lumped elements and micro-strip. Under the software design environment, the simulation results show a high gain (S21>;26dB), fine flatness(<;1dB), good noise characteristics(NF<;1.1) and fine input/output return loss (S11<;-10dB, S22<;-10dB) in the frequency range of the design.
