Abstract
Historical background is given, the analysis of current state is performed and the ways of further development of atmosphere radiosounding systems are presented. Alongside with the prospects, the advisability of developing and implementing the digital mobile system using the signals of satellite navigation GLONASS/GPS platform for tracking radiosounding and determining its location, as well as direction and speed of wind is pointed out. Another prospect deals with the modernization of existing systems through the use of microwave autodyne oscillators as miniature and low-cost transceivers - the responder of request radar signals.
