Abstract :
This paper explains about the comparison study in between residuals and estimated residuals in Spyrometer of a cement rotary kiln by using Kalman Filter Estimation technique. The experiments are performed by using the simulation software of FLSmidth Private Limited. The model for Spyrometer is obtained from step response experiments in different input parameters such as Kiln feed, Kiln Firing Coal, Calciner Firing Coal, Kiln Drive Speed, Pre-Heater Fan Speed and thereby observing the only output parameter Burning Zone Temperature. Based on the experimental step responses an approximate process model for the system is identified. Then Controllability and Observability test is performed for the obtained SISO system models. Further Kalman Filter Estimation algorithm is used to show the comparison in between residuals and estimated residuals present in the system.
