Abstract :
It is shown that two-electrode vacuum electron tube invented by T. Edison (1883) surpassed scientific and technical progress of that time. There was no scientific and technical area where this radio component could be applied. However, T. Edison´s vacuum diode had completed design, and it could be used in radio receivers as detecting element of radio signal. It was confirmed by further experiments (1933).
