Abstract :
The image analysis can be used for the detection of the atomization field. An experimental scheme which use hollow cone nozzle to water atomizing as an example and test bench is designed. A high-speed camera is used to take photos of the atomization field, which is analyzed by Image J. The atomization characteristics such as the drop size, the distribution and the atomizing angle can be obtained. Researching the experimental detection indicators show that with spray pressure ranging from 0.20 to 0.80MPa, the spray angle of the hollow cone nozzle is almost a constant value. As spray pressure increases, the Sauter Mean Diameter declines and the proportion of smaller droplets become greater. Therefore, image-based analysis detection method, the drop size, distribution and spray angle characteristics of the hollow cone nozzle have a quantitative detection.
