Abstract
An 802.15.4a-compliant fully integrated coherent IR-UWB transceiver with digital RRC synthesis that supports 3 channels in Band Group 1 is presented. The transceiver consists of an RF front-end including frequency synthesizer and a digital back-end implemented in 0.13 μm CMOS. It achieves a 20 m radio distance (PER<102), with <18 cm ranging error.
