Abstract :
This paper focuses on the automatic registration and precise positioning of high-resolution satellite images and a vector map utilizing the RPC. First, the general RFM is introduced for high-resolution satellite images, and then the methods to compensate for systemic errors of these models are stated. Experiments with SPOT-5 images are analyzed and suggest the automatic registration of high-resolution satellite images and a vector map is feasible, and the positioning precision satisfies the surveying requirements of small or medium-scale topographical maps.
