Abstract :
Raman Spectroscopy Imaging has been widely used in the analysis of chemical composition and construction of spectral images of organic and inorganic compounds. It requires long periods of time for the data acquisition and subsequent treatment for spectral images, for this reason, various studies and modifications have been made on the optical architecture of Raman Spectroscopy. Recently, Compressed Sensing (CS) technique has been used satisfactorily in Raman Spectroscopy Imging, reducing the acquisition time by simultaneosly sensing and compressing the underlying spectral signals. Coded Aperture Snapshot Spectral Imager (CASSI) is a remarkable optical architecture that efficiently implements CS in Raman Spectroscopy Imaging. This paper realizes the description of the novel technique of CS in Raman Spectroscopy Imaging. Diverse simulations are used to determine the most adequate structure of coded apertures needed in CASSI as a function of the number of projections. The results show that CASSI system is a promising tool for obtaining Raman image reconstructions of quality in a reduced acquisition time.
