Abstract :
This paper studies one of the inter Radio Access Technology (RAT) voice call handover schemes from Long Term Evolution (LTE) to circuit core system. Single Radio Voice Call Continuity (SRVCC) is used to achieve full coverage of voice service in the edge of LTE network during the early stage of Evolved Packet System (EPS) network deployment. In order to overcome some shortcomings of SRVCC scheme, the third Generation Partnership Project (3GPP) organization proposed the enhanced SRVCC (eSRVCC) technology. This paper analyzes the performance improvement of eSRVCC using OPNET network simulation software. Furthermore, based on the simulation results, this paper proposes several optimization ideas to provide a better experience for users on seamless voice over LTE.
