Abstract :
This paper presents a novel service discovery framework for ubiquitous computing called Federation Framework for Ubiquitous Computing Service Discovery. This framework offers a more flexible and scalable architecture which can combine the local services with remote services. That characteristic makes federation framework different from many other service discovery frameworks and more adaptive to ubiquitous computing environments. The federation framework makes the best use of already exist SLP protocols. The federation framework is backward compatible with SLP and can be deployed incrementally. This paper also specified the protocol at each interface.
