Abstract :
In series resonant converters working with small currents or at high operating frequency, time spent charging and discharging the parasitic capacitances of the diodes in the rectifier stage cannot be neglected, because the resonance frequency and the voltage gain can be affected. A design method of the series resonant converter that takes into account this special fact is presented in this paper, with a set of equations that model the behaviour of the converter. A real prototype has been built and tested to validate the obtained equations, and analytical results, simulations and measurements are in very good agreement.
