Abstract
An electrically controlled liquid crystal photonic-bandgap fiber polarizer is experimentally demonstrated. A maximum 21.3 dB electrically tunable polarization extinction ratio is achieved with 45deg rotatable transmission axis as well as switched on and off in 1300 nm-1600 nm.
