Abstract
This paper shows the performance of a state estimator based on a distributed Kalman filter applied to an electric power system for avionic and naval applications. The main characteristics of this type of approach are firstly the increased computational efficiency, due to the parallel distribution of the computational burden among the local estimators, and secondly an increased reliability of the estimator do to the distribution of the resources
