Abstract :
The purpose of this paper is to combine the embedded GIS technology with GPS and PDA to develop a mobile line-inspection system,which can be used to inspect the lines for electric power transmission, mobile communications, petroleum and natural gas transmission,etc.The system can facilitate inspectors´work,improve inspection work more efficiency,and guarantee inspectors to examine on site.So it overcomes a good many shortcomings of the traditional line-inspection methods.
