Abstract :
A novel maintenance strategy model focuses on the assignment of maintenance personnel and the work allocation procedure. This model is used to evaluate system reliability under various maintenance conditions. The frequency of emergency state has been proposed as the maintainability parameter, which plays the essential role in enforcing hierarchical scheduled maintenance. A basic approach to reducing total cost includes both hardware and maintenance costs. The feasibility of this method is shown by a simple example. This model and evaluation have been implemented as a software tool for reliability design. The hierarchical decomposition method has been facilitated by the development of the software
