Abstract :
We described a microstrip line method for broadband characterization of the inplane permeability. Unlike previously developed microstrip line methods, the proposed technique de-embeds the permeability values based on full wave simulations. Therefore, a large sample is no longer required as in conventional deembedding processes using quasi-static analyses. The validity of the proposed technique was illustrated by measuring patterned magnetic composites with inplane anisotropy up to 4.5 GHz.
