Abstract :
The modified genetic-algorithm-based technique for automated synthesis of MMIC linear and low noise amplifiers (LNAs) is presented. It allows using directly the parametric equivalent-circuit models for MMIC passive elements. The technique is implemented in GENEAMP software tool. An example design of 2-10 GHz single-stage feedback MMIC LNA is demonstrated. Five practical LNA schematics have been generated within several minutes.
