Abstract :
This tutorial is aimed at providing some insights into the current trends in medical imaging, with special emphasis on virtual reality. Basic components are first described, as well as fundamental concepts behind the applications. A more detailed presentation of navigation approaches is then given, and key issues are identified and discussed
