Abstract :
This paper describes a method of detection and identification of three-phase voltage-source inverter faults, feeding an induction machine. The detection mechanism is based on wavelet decomposition. Daubechies 4 wavelet was selected as the wavelet base to perform stator current analysis during transients. Wavelet components appear to be useful for detecting, localizing and classifying the source of fault.
