Abstract :
Simulated Annealing (SA) is one of the robust optimization schemes, which can effectively solve multi-modal optimization problems. SA has already been successfully applied to optimize ID antenna array. Yagi-Uda antennas are known to be difficult to design and optimize due to their sensitivity at high gain, and the inclusion of numerous parasitic elements. We present a simulated annealing algorithm-based automated antenna optimization system that uses the length and space between elements as optimization variables. Our results include Yagi-Uda antennas that have excellent gain and impedance properties.
