Abstract
The results of theoretical and experimental researches of the current voltage characteristics of Gunn diodes are presented. On the results of research, an analytical expression describing the current voltage characteristics of Gunn diodes in the continuous and pulse operation modes are obtained. Based on the description of the current voltage characteristics the dependence on the microwave power on the continuous or surge voltage of driving of the Gunn diode is obtained.
