  • Abstract
    Based on the summary of the types, operating principles and limitations of recently popular drive circuits for power switching devices, a novel drive circuit using a transformer is proposed in this paper. The circuit has the advantage of simple-structure, good performance and high reliability, all of which have been tested and verified by experiments and practical applications. The operating principle, experimental results and design techniques are also discussed in detail by the authors
