According to accident statistics show that driver fatigue is an important factor of traffic accidents. Fatigue-simulating method is provided using PERCLOS principle, MATLAB as a tool. First, face locates on skin-color model and frame face region with a rectangle, and then eye locates according to geometry feature. Finally, judge driver´s eye state is open or closed by counting eye area´s reduction extent, thus it can simulate driver´s states. Experimental results show that judging the state of eyes using MATLAB simulation is effective.
