Abstract :
A precise method for measuring of ultra-high basic Q-factors of the superconducting cavities is proposed. It is, based upon the electronic beam-excited oscillations. In this measurement the cavity is not coupled to any external microwave circuits. Its basic Q-factor is governed by the electron flow power loss, which can be determined to high accuracy.
