Abstract :
In this work, a finite elements code, for resonant structures in cavities based on bodies of revolution, is implemented. A semiautomatic mesher allows to change the geometrical parameters in a easy way. Resonance frequencies(fn) and quality factors (Q) of the modes are computed by means of several post-processing modules. Field distributions of modes are also calculated and they are visualized. New geometries used in microwave integrated circuits (MIC), such as dielectric spheres and hemispheres on substrate, are also studied.
