Abstract
The authors discuss how different architectures and components affect the polarization characteristics of phased-arrays and present the results of a research program performed on a particularly interesting class of phased-array antennas using circularly-polarized dual-mode ferrite phase shifters. The results of this research show that in certain configurations, these arrays have unique polarization properties. They discuss the factors that determine the overall polarization characteristics of phased-array antennas
