Abstract :
The paper presents method and implementation for a software real-time system between PC and measurement devices for microwave parameters measurement. This is achieved by utilizing Graphical User Interface (GUI) of MATLAB as an operational interface and GPIB (General Purpose Interface Bus) as a connector to implement DC bias and scattering parameters measurement. Moreover, an automatic tool for calibration and scattering parameters measurement is introduced and implemented as a complement of this thesis. Experimental comparisons show that the suggested procedure provides a correct measurement value of DC bias and scattering parameters. The results are more accurate when complement part is added.
