Abstract :
For high power and/or high voltage applications, in order to reduce the voltage of switches and the size of the inductor, and to improve converter efficiency and power density, the single-phase four-level power factor correction converter is presented in the paper, its operation principle and control method are analyzed in detail. A 2 KW four-level PFC converter is established, and the simulation and experimental results verify the analysis of the four-level PFC converter and its control method. The passive lossless snubber cell could be applied to the four-level PFC converter to improve its efficiency.
